About the position

The Preschool Teacher at Children's Lighthouse Learning Center is responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for young children. This role involves planning and implementing lesson plans, ensuring the health and safety of children, and maintaining a clean and organized classroom. The teacher will engage with children in various activities, support their development, and communicate effectively with parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive and nurturing environment for children.
• Ensure the health and safety of children, minimizing accidents.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom areas.
• Complete and post lesson plans on time, reflecting current curriculum.
• Implement an organized and structured daily schedule.
• Supervise children consistently, ensuring they are never left alone.
• Engage with children using a calm and gentle voice, promoting problem-solving skills.
• Interact positively with parents and maintain good communication.
• Train and support the Assistant Teacher in curriculum delivery.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age (25 if van driving responsibility).
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in childcare with specified age group.
• Knowledge of current State and Local regulations.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a preschool or childcare setting.
• First aid certification.
