Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans
• Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in children
• Create engaging activities that promote learning through play
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
• Implement behavior management strategies when necessary
• Assess and monitor children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience
• Communicate effectively with parents
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education
• Support children with special needs by adapting activities to meet individual requirements

Requirements

• Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
• EEC teacher certification preferred
• Experience working in preschool, daycare, or private school settings is highly desirable
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and child welfare practices
• Strong skills in lesson planning and classroom management
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Certification in First Aid/CPR is a plus
