About the position

The Preschool Teaching Assistant Substitute role is designed for individuals who can provide support in an urban outdoor preschool program for children aged 2-4 years. This temporary, part-time position requires on-call availability to assist the lead teacher in various tasks, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for the children.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in supervising 12 children.
• Change diapers as needed.
• Prepare art projects for the children.
• Set up the outdoor classroom for activities.
• Maintain the outdoor landscape and environment.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties for the outdoor classroom.

Requirements

• Valid Child Development Associate Certification.
• Experience in teaching or working with young children.
