About the position

The Goddard School in Coppell, TX is seeking dedicated Lead and Assistant Teachers for their Preschool, Toddlers, First Steps, and Infant classrooms. This full-time position focuses on providing high-quality early childhood education to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, emphasizing both education and fun. Candidates must be flexible to work an eight-hour shift between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm and will receive thorough orientation and ongoing professional development support.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall day-to-day class management.
• Plan and write daily curriculum based on the State of Texas Early Learning Standards & Guidelines and Goddard Developmental Guidelines.
• Work to improve quality and consistency of care for all children enrolled in the class.
• Meet the school's requirements spanning quality assurance, curriculum, and activities.
• Comply with all state and local regulations as well as The Goddard School's Health & Safety standards.
• Update class decorations and maintain child portfolios and continuous child assessments.
• Promote diversity in the classroom and work with faculty and children from various backgrounds.

Requirements

• CDA, AA or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with a minimum of 18 ECE credits (or equivalent).
• 3 years of experience as a lead preschool/toddler/infant teacher.
• 1 year of experience as an assistant preschool/toddler/infant teacher.
• Child Development Associate Certification (Required) for lead teachers.

Nice-to-haves
