About The Position
Kamehameha Schools is hiring a Hope Po'o Kumu (Vice Principal) to support & lead our West Hawaii Preschool Programs. This region includes locations at: Honaunau, Kona, and Kailua-Kona. We are looking for candidates that will have the experience and skill to provide support and leadership to our Preschool staff as they support our Native Hawaiian students and their communities. This role requires someone with a strong commitment to the perpetuation of Native Hawaiian teachings & values, as well as a commitment to be consistently visible & present at diverse locations. The Vice Principal will create a school climate that fosters a culture of excellence, positive relationships, and a commitment to the vision and mission of Kamehameha Schools. They will serve as a role model, provide instructional leadership, and support the design and delivery of curriculum and assessment of Hawaiian Culture-Based Education (HCBE) for keiki to achieve Kamehameha's E Ola! Learner Outcomes. Additionally, the Vice Principal will manage the daily administrative tasks and operations for multiple preschool sites, ensuring compliance with KS policies, state licensing, and accreditation standards.
