About the position

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at Diversus Health plays a crucial role in providing mental and behavioral health care to individuals in various settings, including adult inpatient and outpatient environments. This full-time position involves conducting psychiatric evaluations, offering treatment options, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for patients. The PMHNP will also engage in community partnerships and perform necessary assessments to manage patient safety and treatment effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services in adult inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments.
• Offer psychotropic treatment options and contribute to treatment plans.
• Perform and document mental health and substance abuse assessments and interventions.
• Consult with agency staff and community partners regarding diagnosis and treatment.
• Complete involuntary holds and perform court-ordered mental health evaluations.

Requirements

• Licensed APRN with prescriptive authority in good standing in Colorado.
• Specialty Certification in Psychiatry is required.
• Knowledge and competency in psychiatric assessment and treatment.
• Understanding of theoretical and pharmacological issues related to psychiatric disorders.
• Experience in Community Mental Health and Recovery Models of Care preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
