About The Position

The YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee is seeking a visionary and dynamic President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its mission-driven organization. The CEO will play a pivotal role in guiding the YMCA towards its mission of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, serving over 50,000 individuals annually through impactful programs. This position requires strong leadership, community engagement, operational excellence, and financial stewardship to ensure the organization remains adaptable and impactful in addressing community needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience, preferably as a CEO in the YMCA or nonprofit sector.
• Proven success in strategic planning, board development, fundraising, fiscal management, and community engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi-site operations and manage diverse teams effectively.
• Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity, with the ability to develop an inclusive organizational culture.
• Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of YMCA's global mission and the ability to advocate for its cause effectively.
• Certification from YMCA of the USA as an Organizational Leader must be obtained within three years after starting the CEO position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive a long-term vision for the YMCA that addresses community needs.
• Serve as the face of the YMCA in the Greater Milwaukee area, building trust and partnerships.
• Ensure operational efficiency and meet financial targets while addressing challenges.
• Lead the development and execution of strategic goals aligned with the YMCA's core values.
• Oversee fundraising efforts to ensure the financial health of the organization.
• Foster an inclusive and innovative organizational culture.
