About the position
This entry-level position at ANDRITZ focuses on the design and application of machine clothing products. Reporting to the Director of Pressing Technology, the role involves supporting various departments such as Sales, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Research, and Marketing to ensure the successful implementation and performance of machine clothing products in the paper industry.
Responsibilities
- Specify appropriate design and accessories to Manufacturing as customer orders are placed, relying on knowledge of Andritz products and paper machine operation.
- Make recommendations and proposals from single positions to complete corporate RFQs.
- Work and travel with field personnel for product presentations, application meetings, and paper machine evaluations and recommendations.
- Collaborate with Research and Product Engineering to develop new products based on product performance evaluation and market potential analysis.
- Work with Marketing to develop trade names, campaigns, and literature for new and existing products.
- Provide monthly reports describing product and performance activity to supervisor.
- Maintain productive relationships with customers, developing good references and staying abreast of customer issues.
- Follow trial installations of Andritz products and competitive products, reporting results to supervisor and other appropriate Andritz groups.
- Develop and maintain effective PowerPoint presentations that are regularly distributed to Sales.
- Act as an ambassador for Andritz with upper management at paper mills.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Applicable Technical Degree preferred with 0-5 years of paper industry technical experience.
- General knowledge of Andritz product technology and paper machine operations in all paper grades.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Goal-oriented and self-starter, capable of working in a team environment.
