About the position

The Press Brake Operator at Advance Fabricators Inc. is responsible for operating computer numeric controlled equipment to create precision bends, punches, or cuts in sheet metal. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to make necessary adjustments to ensure quality production. The operator will also be expected to learn and operate a manual press brake and cross-train on various other equipment, enhancing their skill set and pay incentives.

Responsibilities

• Operate computer numeric controlled press brake equipment to make precision bends, punches, or cuts in sheet metal.
• Adjust back gauge for programming to ensure accurate bends and complex part production.
• Make machine adjustments to control speed and material feed path for optimal performance.
• Ensure machines are set up properly and producing quality products.
• Learn and operate a 600 ton manual press brake as needed.
• Cross-train on other equipment such as Plasma Table, Laser, Saw, Roll Form, and Drill Press.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience operating press brake machinery.
• Forklift certification required.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with plasma cutting and other manufacturing processes.
