About the position

The Press Brake Operator role involves setting up and operating hydraulic brakes to bend, bump roll, arc, or straighten metal plates or sheet metal according to blueprint or sketch specifications. This position is crucial in the manufacturing process for a local company that specializes in equipment for the farming and logging industries.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hydraulic brake to bend, bump roll, arc, or straighten metal plates or sheet metal.
• Interpret blueprints and work instructions to perform tasks accurately.
• Operate a 16' X 600-Ton CNC Hydraulic Press Brake with NC Controllers.
• Occasionally operate a 12' X ¾” plate shears and a 5/8” capacity plate rolls.
• Use overhead cranes, forklifts, and jib cranes for rigging materials and aligning layout marks to dies.

Requirements

• Must have 2+ years' experience setting up and operating a press brake with heavy materials like raw steel.
• Ability to understand blueprints and work instructions.
• Experience operating a 16' X 600-Ton CNC Hydraulic Press Brake with NC Controllers.
• Familiarity with overhead cranes, forklifts, and jib cranes for rigging materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong safety mindset.
