About the position

The Press Operator for the Weekend Shift at Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials is responsible for operating and maintaining press machinery while adhering to safety and quality standards. This role involves performing various tasks related to the production process, including crane operation, quality inspections, and housekeeping duties. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team environment, ensuring production schedules are met efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety guidelines and practices.
  • Perform basic job functions related to press operation.
  • Operate crane and crane scales.
  • Scrape and vacuum molds, apply mold release, and load & level molds.
  • Understand and follow the Manufacturing Order (MO) and Bill of Material components.
  • Follow established standard operating and quality procedures.
  • Utilize a fork truck to move and stage materials, understanding pallet load restrictions.
  • Maintain production according to the press schedule.
  • Perform sheet quality inspections and document results to ensure first quality.
  • Operate press saw as required.
  • Perform housekeeping and TPEM/5S tasks as required.
  • Conduct Movex transactions as required.
  • Operate whirlwind and high-speed mixers as trained.
  • Inform Lead Operator, Supervisor, and/or Maintenance of any issues immediately.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • History of safe working behaviors.
  • Demonstrated measurement skills and ability to use devices accurately.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate a forklift.
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of saws.
  • Basic understanding of quality control processes.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Computer literate.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot with minimal supervision.
