About the position

The position at Tide Cleaners involves working as a professional cleaning expert in a dry cleaning production facility. The role focuses on garment care, utilizing advanced equipment for processing orders, and delivering cleaned garments to another store location. Responsibilities

• Learn the basic operations of scanning and assembling garments into proper orders, and accurately tracking and racking these orders.
• Inspect each garment for stains, wrinkles, and other defects, and notify the proper presser/manager when issues are found.
• Deliver orders to a drop store location in Lubbock in a safe and timely manner, and pickup garments from that location to deliver back to our plant location.
• Ensure that all conveyor and bagging equipment is working properly and well maintained, and reload supplies for the equipment when needed.
• Participate in ongoing education and training.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to follow set procedures and work with little supervision.
• Ability to read care labels, distinguish fabrics by touch, and distinguish colors and odors (i.e., chemicals/solvents).
• Ability to work in hot/humid environment.
• Ability to lift between 25 - 75 lbs., bend and reach over head to place garments on rails, and grasp, handle, and manipulate objects of various size.
• Must be able to move from various work situations to distribute garments.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to recognize numbers and perform basic math skills.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to move from various work situations and stations throughout the plant quickly and easily.
