About the position
The Prestige Beauty Advisor (PBA) at Ulta Beauty is responsible for maximizing sales in the prestige category, which includes color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance. This role involves engaging with guests to understand their needs and assisting them in selecting and purchasing prestige merchandise while adhering to company policies and maintaining store standards. The PBA supports the Sales Manager by focusing on performance, guest service, and compliance with operating procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maximize sales in the prestige category by engaging guests and assisting with product selection.
- Provide exceptional guest service by creating a guest-friendly environment and personalizing service.
- Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to enhance guest experience.
- Book appointments and support in-store events to drive sales and guest engagement.
- Stay informed about industry trends and product knowledge to better serve guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and operational standards of the store, including the sales floor and backroom.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Valid Esthetician License where required by state law.
- Demonstrated passion and competency for prestige products and guest service.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build customer relationships.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in sales and customer service in a retail environment.
- Knowledge of beauty products and trends.
