About the position

The Prevailing Wage Coordinator at Buckeye Power Sales is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage regulations across various projects. This role involves monitoring payroll submissions, maintaining accurate records, and educating contractors and internal teams on prevailing wage requirements. Responsibilities

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with prevailing wage regulations on applicable projects.
  • Complete, review, and submit certified payroll reports for prevailing wage projects.
  • Stay updated on changes to prevailing wage laws and communicate these to relevant employees.
  • Maintain accurate records of wage determinations, payroll documentation, and project-related correspondence for audits.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll submissions to ensure correct wage rates and classifications.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in wage payments, addressing concerns from laborers and contractors.
  • Educate contractors and internal teams on prevailing wage requirements and payroll procedures.
  • Serve as the point of contact for prevailing wage inquiries and compliance.
  • Assist in reviewing contracts for wage compliance clauses.
  • Collaborate with HR to identify areas for improvement in HR processes.
  • Assist with payroll processing tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives, including employee surveys and team activities.

Requirements

  • At least 1-3 years of Prevailing Wage experience required.
  • At least 1-3 years of human resources experience required.
  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred but not required).
  • Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and strong attention to detail.
  • Computer skills including MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher).
  • Valid driver's license.
