About the position

The Preventative Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing annual servicing of laboratory equipment at a research facility in North Fargo, ND. This role involves ensuring that all maintenance tasks are conducted according to OEM specifications, troubleshooting operational issues, and calibrating equipment to maintain performance standards. This is a one-day contract opportunity with competitive pay and fully covered travel expenses.

Responsibilities

• Perform one-time annual preventive maintenance on the SKCS, Aquamatic 5200 Moisture Meter, and Lab Mill 3100 as per OEM specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues discovered during maintenance.
• Calibrate equipment as needed to maintain performance standards.
• Collaborate with Advance Advisors to schedule and execute maintenance tasks at mutually agreed times.
• Document all services performed, including calibration settings, replaced parts, and recommendations for future maintenance.
• Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Provide a detailed report on the status and performance of each instrument.

Requirements

• Certification as an OEM-qualified technician for PerkinElmer equipment or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in servicing laboratory equipment, including the specific models listed.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage schedules effectively.
• Willingness to travel to Fargo, ND, for the day (travel expenses will be paid).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience servicing PerkinElmer SKCS 4100, Aquamatic 5200, and Lab Mill 3100.
• Excellent communication skills.
