About the position

The Preventative Maintenance Technician at Toyota Manufacturing plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of electrical and mechanical equipment through preventative maintenance. This position requires a strong foundation in industrial maintenance, technical skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC programming, along with the ability to troubleshoot and enhance processes. Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment according to standards.
  • Assemble, design, and test hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment or systems.
  • Fabricate and machine components to repair jigs, fixtures, and parts for maintenance work orders.
  • Write, program, troubleshoot, modify, and repair programmable logic controllers, CNC machines, and robotics.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment and machine components.
  • Document work performed using written and electronic methods.
  • Problem solve and continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

  • Industrial maintenance and/or military experience.
  • Electrical and mechanical knowledge.
  • Demonstrated success in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Technical knowledge and skills in PLCs, Computers & Information Technology, Hydraulic/Pneumatic systems, Motion/Motor Control, Welding, Machining, and Robotics.
  • Availability to work any shift including overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns.

Nice-to-haves

  • Electrical degree, diploma, or certification of completion for studies of electricity.
  • Experience working with and/or repairing robots.
  • Experience with Milling Machines, Lathes, Surface Grinders, or programming CNC Machines.
