Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces.
  • Maintain, repair, and clean all guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces according to property standards.
  • Follow company safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report work-related accidents or injuries immediately to a manager or supervisor.
  • Use proper equipment and wear appropriate personal protective clothing to avoid injury.
  • Follow Hazardous Material Management Program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals and other hazardous materials.
  • Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and report them to management.
  • Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.
  • Follow property-specific procedures for handling emergency situations.
  • Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
  • Protect company tools, equipment, and other assets according to company policies.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Address guests' service needs in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other employees and departments.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Perform miscellaneous minor repairs such as tightening toilet seats and changing light bulbs.
  • Inspect and maintain hotel equipment as required.

Requirements

  • Experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and lift objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
