About the position
The Front End Lead Clerk at Price Rite is responsible for overseeing all aspects of front-end operations, including cash management, bookkeeping, and customer service. This role is crucial in ensuring that the store delivers exceptional service and maintains operational efficiency while adhering to the company's mission of providing value and selection to customers.
Responsibilities
- Manage performance of all aspects of Front End Operations, including cash management and bookkeeping.
- Supervise, train, and develop team members.
- Provide backup for Front End Manager, including schedule writing and disciplinary actions.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management.
- Adhere to all front-end procedures, policies, and practices.
- Organize, clean, and maintain cash office and front-end work stations.
- Accountable for cash office controls such as safe counts and reconciliation of cashier tills.
- Prepare and order coin, gift cards, and generate various computer reports.
- Provide exceptional customer service and achieve company standards of the Price Rite Way.
- Coordinate community and store event programs throughout the store.
Requirements
- Read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Understand and follow directions given by management.
- Ability to perform the job while standing, and able to bend, reach, and stoop.
- Work a flexible schedule consisting of daytime, evening, and weekends.
- Possess a satisfactory cash record with less than 2 errors over the last 12 months.
