About the position

As a Pricing Analyst in Revenue Management at Deloitte, you will play a crucial role in optimizing pricing strategies across various industries, including hotels, airlines, and retail. You will work closely with clients to build strong relationships and act as a trusted advisor, guiding them on how to effectively price their offerings. Your expertise will be instrumental in understanding and applying methodologies for price optimization, translating complex model outputs into actionable insights that clients can easily comprehend and implement. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough market research and data analysis to inform pricing strategies. You will dissect previous performance metrics and synthesize local market events to provide tailored pricing recommendations. Staying ahead of market trends and activities that could impact pricing will be a key part of your responsibilities, allowing you to provide timely and relevant advice to clients. You will also be expected to translate client inquiries into specific analytics requirements, ensuring that their needs are met with precision. Your role will involve periodic visits to clients and participation in regional meetings to offer additional pricing support. You will present pricing trends and insights during these meetings, which occur 2-3 times a year, showcasing your analytical capabilities and strategic thinking. This position supports a premier client in the fast food restaurant industry, providing you with the opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic sector.

Responsibilities

  • Pricing and revenue management in hotel, airline or retail industries.
  • Revenue optimization, market research, data analysis, pricing, and strategy.
  • Build client relationships and be a trusted strategic advisor on how to price menu items.
  • Understand the methodologies used for price optimization and translate model outputs into insights that clients can understand and apply.
  • Understand the client's strategy and goals, dissect previous store performance, synthesize past and future local market events to adjust pricing recommendations for the client.
  • Proactively look out for market trends and activities that may impact pricing and provide timely advice to clients.
  • Translate client inquiries into analytics requirements.
  • Periodically visit clients and regional meetings to provide additional pricing support.
  • Present pricing trends during regional client meetings (2-3x per year).
  • Supporting a premier client in the fast food restaurant industry.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in pricing analytics and/or revenue management.
  • Pricing advisor roles in hotel, restaurant, airline, or retail industries.
  • Strong understanding of the restaurant industry (QSR), competitors, and market dynamics.
  • Experience in SQL, Alteryx or other data management and Business Intelligence tools.
  • Experience with predictive modeling in SAS, Python, R or other.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
