About the position

As a Pricing Analyst in Revenue Management at Deloitte, you will play a crucial role in optimizing pricing strategies for clients in the hotel, airline, and retail industries. This position is designed for experienced professionals who are passionate about technology and thrive in collaborative environments. You will work under the Project Delivery Talent Model, which emphasizes long-term, onsite client service delivery without the extensive travel demands typically associated with consulting roles. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting revenue optimization, performing market research, and analyzing data to inform pricing strategies. In this role, you will build strong client relationships and serve as a trusted strategic advisor, guiding clients on how to effectively price their menu items. You will leverage your understanding of pricing optimization methodologies to translate complex model outputs into actionable insights that clients can easily comprehend and implement. Additionally, you will analyze the client's strategic goals, review past store performance, and synthesize local market events to adjust pricing recommendations accordingly. You will also be expected to proactively monitor market trends and activities that could impact pricing, providing timely advice to clients. This includes translating client inquiries into specific analytics requirements and participating in regional meetings to present pricing trends and support clients. Your work will primarily focus on supporting a premier client in the fast food restaurant industry, making your insights and recommendations critical to their success.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pricing and revenue management for clients in the hotel, airline, or retail industries.
  • Perform revenue optimization, market research, data analysis, and strategy development.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, acting as a trusted strategic advisor on pricing strategies.
  • Understand and apply methodologies for price optimization, translating model outputs into client-friendly insights.
  • Analyze client strategies and goals, dissecting previous performance to inform pricing recommendations.
  • Monitor market trends and activities that may impact pricing, providing timely advice to clients.
  • Translate client inquiries into specific analytics requirements for data analysis.
  • Participate in regional meetings to present pricing trends and provide additional pricing support.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in pricing analytics and/or revenue management.
  • Experience in pricing advisor roles within the hotel, restaurant, airline, or retail industries.
  • Strong understanding of the restaurant industry, particularly quick-service restaurants (QSR), and market dynamics.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Alteryx, or other data management and Business Intelligence tools.
  • Experience with predictive modeling using SAS, Python, R, or similar tools.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
