About the position

As an experienced Project Delivery Specialist II - Pricing Analyst in Revenue Management at Deloitte, you will play a crucial role in enhancing pricing strategies and revenue optimization for clients in the hotel, airline, or retail industries. This position allows you to work collaboratively in a supportive environment, where you can share innovative ideas and contribute to various projects without the extensive travel demands typically associated with consulting roles. The Project Delivery Model (PDM) at Deloitte is specifically designed for long-term, onsite client service delivery, providing you with the opportunity to build strong relationships with clients and act as a trusted strategic advisor. In this role, you will be responsible for pricing and revenue management, focusing on revenue optimization, market research, data analysis, and strategic pricing initiatives. You will engage with clients to understand their pricing needs, analyze market trends, and provide actionable insights based on data-driven methodologies. Your ability to dissect previous store performance and synthesize local market events will be essential in adjusting pricing recommendations effectively. You will also proactively monitor market trends that may impact pricing strategies and offer timely advice to clients. Your responsibilities will include translating client inquiries into analytics requirements, periodically visiting clients, and presenting pricing trends during regional meetings. You will support a premier client in the fast food restaurant industry, ensuring that their pricing strategies align with market dynamics and competitive positioning. This role requires a strong understanding of the restaurant industry, particularly in the quick-service restaurant (QSR) sector, and the ability to leverage data management tools and predictive modeling techniques to drive results.

Responsibilities

  • Pricing and revenue management in hotel, airline or retail industries.
  • Revenue optimization, market research, data analysis, pricing, and strategy.
  • Build client relationships and be a trusted strategic advisor on how to price menu items.
  • Understand the methodologies used for price optimization and translate model outputs into insights that clients can understand and apply.
  • Understand the client's strategy and goals, dissect previous store performance, synthesize past and future local market events to adjust pricing recommendations for the client.
  • Proactively look out for market trends and activities that may impact pricing and provide timely advice to clients.
  • Translate client inquiries into analytics requirements.
  • Periodically visit clients and regional meetings to provide additional pricing support.
  • Present pricing trends during regional client meetings (2-3x per year).
  • Supporting a premier client in the fast food restaurant industry.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in pricing analytics and/or revenue management.
  • Pricing advisor roles in hotel, restaurant, airline, or retail industries.
  • Strong understanding of the restaurant industry (QSR), competitors, and market dynamics.
  • Experience in SQL, Alteryx or other data management and Business Intelligence tools.
  • Experience with predictive modeling in SAS, Python, R or other.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
