The Pricing Clerk is responsible for verifying the merchandise price file against shelf price tags to ensure accuracy, operating pricing and scanning equipment, and ensuring that all signage is clear and correctly placed according to established standards. Additionally, the clerk must proofread all store advertisements and signage for accuracy, comply with government regulations regarding food stamp and WIC purchases, and adhere to weights and measures regulations. The role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as the Pricing Clerk must implement Cosentino's Customer Service Standards and demonstrate excellent verbal and interpersonal skills for positive interactions with customers and peers. The position also involves maintaining compliance with health regulations, sanitation guidelines, and safety procedures within the department and the store. The Pricing Clerk is expected to meet or exceed productivity standards to achieve desired team and individual results. Physical demands of the job include standing and walking for extended periods, reaching overhead, lifting objects weighing up to 10 lbs, and occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 30 lbs. The Pricing Clerk must also be able to bend, squat, and push or pull grocery items as needed. This position formally reports to the Pricing Manager and is classified as a non-exempt position.
