About the position
Port X Logistics LLC is seeking a Pricing Data Analyst to support the organization by identifying and optimizing operational pricing processes. The role involves assisting the Procurement Manager with rate research, market research, online bidding tools, market data collection, and data entry, while applying analytical thinking and data analysis tools.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Procurement Manager with rate research and market research.
- Utilize online bidding tools for pricing optimization.
- Collect and analyze market data to inform pricing strategies.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate pricing records.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve key objectives.
- Apply analytical thinking to identify high-impact process improvements.
Requirements
- Logistics and/or data & analytics experience in transportation is preferred.
- Experience using data and statistical tools to identify process improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to build credibility with operations management.
- MS Excel expertise is required, including proficiency with formulas.
- Strong attention to detail when making judgments based on market analysis.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of operations.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with statistical software for data analysis.
- 1 year of experience in pricing analysis.
