About the position

The Pricing Analyst at Interstate Batteries is responsible for researching, developing, and implementing competitive pricing programs across various market channels and product segments. This role involves continuous monitoring of market conditions and competitor strategies to ensure pricing aligns with market dynamics. The analyst will lead strategic projects that include data analysis and predictive analytics, ultimately contributing to the company's pricing strategy and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop competitive pricing programs for various market channels and product segments.
• Continuously monitor market and competitor strategies to ensure pricing is aligned with market conditions.
• Plan, direct, and facilitate all phases of pricing strategy changes from inception to market introduction.
• Lead or assist in strategic projects involving data analysis, market developments, and predictive analytics.
• Coordinate, analyze, and report on the competitive landscape of the aftermarket battery industry.
• Analyze the tradeoff relationship between price and volume and its impact on overall profits and long-term viability.
• Identify pockets of risk or opportunity through analysis of origination and portfolio statistics and develop proactive strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, or related fields with significant analytical coursework.
• Ability to search and extract information from large databases and analyze conflicting and incomplete data.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide consultative solutions and recommendations.
• Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook).
• Experience with SAP and Oracle/JD Edwards E-One is desirable.
• Familiarity with Tableau, Alteryx/SQL, Python/R is preferred.
