About the position

The Pricing Strategy Analyst at Interstate Batteries is responsible for researching, developing, and implementing competitive pricing programs across various market channels and product segments. The role involves continuous market monitoring and competitor analysis to ensure pricing aligns with market conditions. The analyst will lead strategic projects, analyze data, and report on the competitive landscape of the aftermarket battery industry to identify trends and opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, and implement competitive pricing programs for various market channels and product segments.
  • Continuously monitor the market and competitor strategies to ensure pricing is aligned with market conditions.
  • Lead or assist in strategic projects that include data analysis, market developments, and predictive analytics.
  • Coordinate, analyze, and report on the competitive landscape of the aftermarket battery industry.
  • Analyze the tradeoff relationship in price and volume and its impact on overall profits and long-term viability.
  • Analyze origination and portfolio statistics to identify pockets of risk or opportunity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, or related fields with significant analytical coursework.
  • Ability to search and extract information from large databases and analyze conflicting and incomplete data.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide consultative solutions and recommendations.
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook); experience with SAP and Oracle/JD Edwards E-One is desirable.
  • Experience with Tableau, Alteryx/SQL, Python/R preferred.
