About the position

The Senior Account Executive for MuleSoft in the Public Sector is responsible for driving new business and managing existing accounts within the Department of Defense (DoD). This role involves consulting with clients to understand their unique challenges and goals, and promoting the Salesforce MuleSoft Platform as a solution to enhance operational efficiency and responsiveness in government agencies. The position requires a strong background in enterprise software sales, particularly within the DoD, and emphasizes consultative selling and strategic account management.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business in existing accounts and new markets within the DoD.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their unique challenges and goals.
  • Consult with customers on the Salesforce MuleSoft Platform to promote solutions that meet their business objectives.
  • Drive strategic, enterprise-wide application platform initiatives.
  • Contribute to business growth in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 2-10+ years of quota-carrying software or technology sales experience.
  • Proven track record of success in enterprise-level sales focused on the DoD.
  • Strong communication skills and business acumen.
  • Consultative selling experience and strong prospecting skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.
