About the position

The Principal Electrical Engineer at Orbital ATK is responsible for leading the design, development, and testing of electrical systems for aerospace applications. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of electrical components into various space systems and launch vehicles, contributing to the company's mission of delivering innovative solutions to customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems for aerospace applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical components into space systems.
• Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to project planning and execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and practices.
• Experience with electrical testing and validation processes.
• Proficiency in using electrical design software and tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with satellite systems and launch vehicles.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations in aerospace.
