About the position

As a Principal Account Executive at Uber, you will play a crucial role in driving sales revenue and managing accounts with enterprise customers for a new growth area within the Global Scaled Solutions (GSS) organization. This position involves strategic direction, scaling, and go-to-market initiatives for GSS services and solutions, working closely with a geographically diverse team to meet ambitious revenue targets and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and target key customer segments, industries, and areas for revenue generation.
  • Identify and secure new enterprise customers directly by establishing relationships with key decision makers.
  • Meet revenue targets by continuously seeking opportunities for GSS to make an impact.
  • Identify opportunities for alternative go-to-market strategies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, integrity, problem solving, and high standards.
  • Conduct executive meetings, demonstrations, and sales calls as necessary.
  • Strategically partner with account management, implementation, strategy, operations, and broader GSS team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to the leadership team.
  • Contribute to refining Uber GSS' offering based on evolving needs and industry trends.
  • Work closely with the internal product team to communicate customer feedback and provide market insights.
  • Represent GSS at regional conferences and events.
  • Develop new ways of working and refine pitch narratives that scale across the global team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in a full sales cycle role: prospecting, outreach, pitching & closing in a technology environment.
  • 1+ years of experience selling data labeling/annotation, language services, and/or quality/testing OR B2B sales experience at Uber.
  • Experience selling new products or in new markets.
  • People management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 10+ years in a full sales cycle role in technology (SaaS, Tech Services, Tech Solutions, etc.).
  • Experience selling tech offerings similar to data labeling/annotation, language services, and quality/testing.
  • Sales leadership experience and track record of driving teams to exceed quotas.
  • Experience condensing sales cycles from quarters to months.
  • Highly adept at Salesforce and Excel/Google Sheets for reporting and data analysis.
  • Revenue/forecasting experience.
  • Experience working in a start-up or entrepreneurial environment.
  • Training in Challenger Sales Methodology or relevant sales techniques.
  • Proven track record of building and managing a multi-million dollar business.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Benefits

  • Base salary range for Chicago: USD$170,000 - USD$189,000.
  • Base salary range for New York: USD$189,000 - USD$210,000.
  • Base salary range for San Francisco: USD$189,000 - USD$210,000.
  • Eligibility to participate in Uber's bonus program.
  • Potential equity award and other types of compensation.
