About the position

Foursquare is seeking a Principal Account Manager to manage Enterprise customers, develop territory growth plans, and drive revenue and market penetration. This role requires a blend of sales and technical expertise, with a focus on advocating for customer needs while aligning with Foursquare's business objectives. The Principal Account Manager will collaborate with various internal teams to support customer interests and ensure successful service adoption and revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue, adoption, and market penetration across a set of enterprise accounts
  • Influence and introduce products and capabilities to prospects relevant to the client's desired outcomes
  • Work with internal stakeholders and partners to extend reach and drive adoption
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan
  • Manage contract negotiations and push deals to close
  • Grow the breadth and depth of customer relationships and develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts

Requirements

  • 10+ years of direct sales experience in software, cloud, or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives
  • Familiarity with the geospatial and location technology landscape
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, discovery, and presentation skills
  • Industry expertise in ad tech with mastery of the landscape and terminology
  • Ability to prioritize work activities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience applying a sales methodology such as Command of the Message, Sandler, Challenger, or Corporate Visions

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with ad agencies, DSPs, and the online advertising industry
  • Strong knowledge of mobile ad technology
