The Principal/Advisor Electrical Power Engineering position at Lilly focuses on providing technical leadership and discipline stewardship in Electrical Engineering. This role involves consulting on major capital projects, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards. The position requires collaboration with various teams and external communities to enhance electrical engineering practices and improve productivity across global facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical consulting for major capital projects and participate in the Global Facility Delivery PDRI processes.
• Act as an electrical engineering consultant, directing discipline activities and overseeing the engineering community.
• Drive changes to electrical safety policy and assist in investigations of electrical incidents.
• Create and maintain computer-based electrical distribution models and conduct hazard studies.
• Monitor and influence changes in external codes and standards for compliance.
• Provide ongoing technical support and mentoring to site engineering groups globally.
• Identify and implement systemic improvements for cost-effectiveness and stewardship of assets.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in power generation and distribution
