About the position
The Principal Analog ASIC Designer at Tektronix will be responsible for designing innovative CMOS, BiCMOS, and HBT Analog/Mixed Signal ASICs for next-generation products. This role involves collaboration with a team of engineers and managers to develop industry-leading solutions using advanced design tools, focusing on optimizing design performance and manufacturability.
Responsibilities
- Design building blocks of next-generation ASICs using advanced ASIC tools.
- Run simulations to optimize design performance and manufacturability.
- Perform signal analysis on systems outside the ASIC.
- Characterize designs or create characterization plans.
- Work with product line architects to analyze power, cost, and performance trade-offs at the system level.
Requirements
- MSEE/PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 10 years of experience in designing analog and/or mixed-signal integrated circuits (e.g., amplifiers, PLLs, ADCs, DACs).
- Proficiency with modern ASIC design tools.
- Ability to perform analog and RF analysis without relying solely on simulators.
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to generate quality documentation.
- Experience in layout for critical cells and characterizing designs in the lab.
- Prior experience working effectively with remote teams.
- A drive for continuous learning and improvement and staying updated with process technology.
