As a Lead Analytics Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data solutions to drive business intelligence, advanced analytics, and decision-making. You will bridge the gap between data engineering and business intelligence, ensuring data is well-modeled, performant, and accessible for analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives. You will be self-motivated, innovative, and a strong collaborator, working with technical and business stakeholders to translate business needs into high-impact analytical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize data models, pipelines, and analytics solutions to support reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics.
  • Collaborate with business teams, data engineers, and BI developers to ensure data is structured and accessible for analysis.
  • Drive best practices in data modeling, governance, quality, and performance optimization.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, efficient, and impactful data solutions.
  • Advocate for modern analytics architectures (e.g., cloud platforms, data lakes, ELT processes, and self-service BI).
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and recommend innovations to improve data accessibility and usability.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to other team members.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, BI development, or related field.
  • Strong SQL expertise with experience in data modeling, warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with modern cloud data platforms (Databricks, Azure Data Factory, etc.).
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, DAX, R, or similar).
  • Experience working with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align data solutions with business objectives.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP/Order Mgmt platforms (Oracle, MS Dynamics, SAP, etc.).
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and integrating AI-driven insights into analytics solutions.
