About the position

The Principal Applications Developer at Neighborly is responsible for developing and maintaining custom software applications while ensuring adherence to standard coding practices. This role involves collaborating with enterprise architects and other developers to create scalable solutions, documenting application designs, and communicating effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. The position is integral to the technology team, focusing on innovation and quality in application development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom software using Neighborly® standard coding practices.
• Architect and develop functioning solutions based on technical requirements.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, technical leads, and other developers to ensure scalable and quality solutions.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Document and communicate application design, topologies, and architecture to peers, junior developers, and business users.

Requirements

• 10+ years of application development experience.
• Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft .Net technologies, particularly C#.
• Good knowledge and experience in JavaScript and React.js.
• Experience with common API technologies including SOAP and REST.
• Strong query development skills through SQL, including CRUD operations, Stored Procedures, and Functions.
• Ability to understand and utilize JSON and XML.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
