About the position

The Principal Associate, Project Manager Chief of Staff for Business Operations at Capital One is responsible for leading critical and strategic business projects that directly impact the company's bottom line. This role involves collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver programmatic solutions and effective communication strategies, ensuring alignment and successful execution of projects within the Experience Design (XD) team. The position requires strong project management skills, the ability to adapt to changing demands, and a focus on value creation through effective change management and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage small to medium-scale department projects that impact the company.
• Collaborate with partners to assist in project planning and design.
• Document project progress and report status to stakeholders.
• Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments.
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline business processes.
• Work with Corporate Communications to execute communications around events and program strategy.
• Implement change management structures in a dynamic environment.
• Gather end user impacts and create change, communication, and training plans.
• Conduct impact assessments and present findings to stakeholders.
• Provide tactical support to project leads and teams in defining and implementing program strategies.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional experience in project/program management.
• Certification in Project Management or Change Management (preferred).
• Prior management consulting experience (preferred).
