About the position

The Principal Associate: Project Manager, RDO Chief of Staff at Capital One is responsible for leading change management initiatives and communications strategies within the Research and Design Operations team. This role focuses on assessing the impact of changes on associates, planning and documenting changes, and implementing strategies to maximize adoption and usage. The Project Manager will collaborate with various teams to ensure effective communication and transformation, ultimately driving value creation for the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead change management initiatives for core projects on the Research and Design Operations team.
  • Assess the impact of change on associates and plan/document necessary changes.
  • Create and implement change management strategies to maximize adoption and usage.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to align and deliver change management strategies.
  • Drive effective communications strategies to enhance adoption and proficiency of changes.
  • Document project progress and report status to stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline business processes.
  • Work with Corporate Communications to execute communications around events and program strategies.
  • Conduct impact assessments and evaluate change readiness.
  • Apply various change methodologies to support project leads and teams.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in project management.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in change management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Project Management or Change Management.
  • 2+ years experience in writing Change Management communications.
