About the position

The Principal Automation Test Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing automated tests to ensure product quality and efficiency. This role requires advanced knowledge of QA practices and methodologies, contributing to the development and optimization of test automation frameworks. The engineer will also mentor less experienced team members and work closely with various stakeholders to evaluate and propose solutions for complex business problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automated tests to ensure product quality and efficiency.
• Utilize testing tools and data management approaches to support continuous testing.
• Contribute to the development of test automation frameworks and optimize existing frameworks.
• Coach and mentor less experienced team members.
• Work closely with business units and application teams to identify and evaluate solution requirements.
• Investigate and propose strategic fits for virtualization and consolidation solutions.
• Evaluate and align strategic fit solutions across infrastructure platforms.
• Provide consulting and planning guidance for complex projects.
• Participate in architectural and design development for complex systems.
• Identify and evaluate projects to enhance existing solutions.
• Review and manage requirements for complex solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7 years of experience identifying technical solutions for complex business problems.
• 6 years of technology experience.
• 5 years of experience mentoring other technologists.
• 4 years of experience in test automation engineering.
• 4 years of web, API, and/or mobile experience.
• 4 years of experience with Selenium or similar testing tool.
