About the position

The Principal AWS Cloud Engineer at Maitsys is a contract role focused on designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud solutions within a complex AWS environment. This position requires extensive experience in AWS infrastructure, solution design, and deployment, with a strong emphasis on using Terraform for infrastructure as code, as well as knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker for managing containerized applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AWS cloud solutions to meet the client’s business and operational needs.
• Develop and manage landing zones, ensuring cloud resources are deployed efficiently and securely.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, enabling automated and repeatable deployments.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications with Kubernetes and Docker to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud architecture with business objectives.
• Optimize cloud resources and advise on best practices for security, scalability, and cost management.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, specifically with AWS solutions.
• Proven experience in solution design and cloud architecture within enterprise-level environments.
• Proficiency in Terraform, with experience creating and managing infrastructure as code.
• Strong knowledge of landing zones, Kubernetes, and Docker in AWS environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, contract role.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams.
