About the position
The Principal Azure Engineer will support the hybrid compute environment by providing implementation, design services, and support for Azure and banking applications. This role involves resolving assigned cases and change requests, acting as an escalation point for support issues, and collaborating with IT teams to enhance the team's capabilities through technical competence and teamwork. The position requires onsite presence in designated locations and emphasizes strategic planning and execution in Azure environments.
Responsibilities
- Create a strategy for establishing a secure and well-managed enterprise environment in Azure.
- Manage and monitor IaaS deployments using Azure Log Analytics and automation accounts.
- Drive identity and access management, configuration management, and monitoring strategy for Azure.
- Deploy Azure VMs (Windows Server and Linux) in a highly available environment.
- Explore hybrid connectivity configurations between on-premises environments and Azure, ensuring performance compliance with service-level agreements.
- Utilize native Azure services to meet business technology and resiliency requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Azure Certification required.
- Minimum 7 years overall IT experience.
- 5+ years' experience in Azure Cloud.
- 5 years' experience troubleshooting Windows and Linux Servers.
- 3 years' experience troubleshooting complex cloud network topologies.
- 10+ years in system engineering.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Proven leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to support business requirements with appropriate technology solutions.
- Self-motivated with keen attention to detail and excellent judgment skills.
- Project Management knowledge and understanding of Scrum and Agile workflows.
- Experience in the financial services industry with regulatory and compliance discipline.
- Extensive experience with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, integration with MFA, Okta, CyberArk, SailPoint.

Benefits
- Competitive salary range of $119,000.00 - $132,000.00 USD annually.
