About the position

Overall Purpose: The function is a Software Engineering role that delivers a wide array of complex data contributions to high-profile and high-value workstreams across the AIM portfolio including Credit & Collections (statistical test trials, etc.), Portfolio Analytics (Invol churn etc.), Payments, and Global Billing Ops to name a few. The position is table stakes since deep subject matter expertise about the complete data life cycle of ATT customer accounts is necessary for daily complex data deliverables that are derived from dozens of different data platforms (Azure, Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle), warehouses, applications, etc. The function provides deep expertise on the AIM data ecosystem including data structures, table design, ETL functions, and optimization. Function delivers massive amount of code for complex data solutions using Snowflake, SQL Server, Databricks, Nifi, Python and DEEP. Expert in analyzing data for anomalies, trouble shooting and debugging for high-profile executive inquiries (e.g., debt presentment threshold data investigation). Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions to translate business requirements and deliver functional solutions. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Uses Big Data programming languages and technology, writes code, completes programming and documentation, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in distributed, large scale analytics and visualization solutions. Interacts with data scientists and industry experts to understand how data needs to be converted, loaded and presented. Works in a highly agile environment. Job Contribution: Senior level technical expertise. Deep technical knowledge and subject matter expert on ATT technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver complex data contributions to high-profile workstreams across the AIM portfolio.
  • Provide deep expertise on the AIM data ecosystem including data structures, table design, ETL functions, and optimization.
  • Write code and perform testing and debugging of applications using Big Data programming languages and technology.
  • Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and/or new products for large scale analytics and visualization solutions.
  • Interact with data scientists and industry experts to understand data conversion, loading, and presentation needs.
  • Lead technical discussions to translate business requirements into functional solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or Scientific Computing preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in software engineering and data management.
  • Expertise in Big Data technologies such as Snowflake, SQL Server, Databricks, Nifi, and Python.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data for anomalies and troubleshoot complex data issues.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in supervising teams or projects is a plus.
