About the position

The Principal Business Risk Analytics & Reporting role at Discover Financial Services is focused on leading the development, maintenance, and communication of business risk reporting and analytics. This position is crucial for identifying, measuring, and monitoring key risk metrics in collaboration with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with risk reporting procedures and regulatory requirements, and continuously improving the reporting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and maintenance of business risk reporting and analytics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely risk reporting.
  • Manage data from internal and external sources for reporting and analytics.
  • Ensure compliance with Risk Reporting Procedures, Standards, and Policies.
  • Identify new data/reporting requirements in partnership with Corporate Risk Management.
  • Enhance the reporting and analytics process continuously.
  • Manage and escalate risk and customer-impacting issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Administration, or Management.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in Credit Card, Reporting, Analytics, Consumer Lending, or related financial services.
  • In lieu of a degree, 12+ years of experience in Reporting, Analytics, Project Management, or related fields.

Nice-to-haves

  • 8+ years of professional experience in Credit Card, Reporting, Analytics, Consumer Lending, or related financial industries.
