About the position

This position serves as a critical support role for the Senior Manager and Chief of Staff at Discover, focusing on managing high-exposure and time-sensitive information. The role involves problem-solving, process improvement, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance compliance and risk management efforts. The individual will drive continuous improvement initiatives, support various compliance teams, and manage department-wide projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage and escalate risk and business partner engagement.
• Drive continuous improvement through process discipline and innovation.
• Support Compliance teams and other business partners in internal audit and regulatory requests.
• Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise for timely responses.
• Manage logistical support for strategic direction activities and committee materials.
• Oversee department-wide projects and initiatives to improve employee experience.
• Lead event planning and execution for recognition events and leadership meetings.
• Develop and update presentations for senior internal and external audiences.
• Conduct research and analysis to support business goals and identify trends.
• Manage officer-level leadership meetings and improve productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Project Management, Initiative Ownership, Analysis, Research, or Communications.
• In lieu of education, 8+ years of relevant experience.
