About the position

Nintendo of America Inc. is seeking a Principal Business Systems Analyst who will serve as a crucial liaison between business constituents, internal IT teams, and global companies. This role is pivotal in ensuring alignment of strategic architectural, product development, and business initiatives. The Principal Business Systems Analyst will translate business concepts and requirements into software solutions and roadmaps, defining strategic, system, and functional requirements across a variety of technologies and highly complex business processes. The successful candidate will utilize an extensive external network to attract talent, develop mid to long-term strategies, and solve extremely complex issues. Collaboration is key, as this role requires working closely with software engineers, business analysts, and non-technical analysts to ensure that defined requirements are effectively translated into developed solutions. Additionally, the Principal Business Systems Analyst will oversee and drive technical and functional application support with third-party vendors, managing the software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities across multiple functional or technical areas. Training is also a significant aspect of this role, as the Principal Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for training employees or coordinating training in areas of expertise related to applications, databases, security, operating systems, or other technical aspects. The role includes providing support and troubleshooting for highly complex technology solutions, determining strategies, methods, and procedures for new assignments, and mentoring and coordinating activities of other personnel across departments and global companies. Ensuring that work is planned, documented, and completed in compliance with established best practices, security requirements, compliance regulations, and internal controls is essential.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of related experience.
  • Wide-ranging experience in business analysis to meet company objectives and resolve complex issues.
  • Experience with extremely complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors or functional areas.
  • Ability to perform Structured System Analysis.
  • Excellent understanding of Software Development Life Cycle Methodologies.
  • Proficiency with automated and manual testing.
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Post-graduate coursework may be desirable or required.
