About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Architect within the Consumer Technology Architecture organization. This senior technical professional is responsible for outlining and driving the data strategy for a secure, scalable, and stable data platform architecture of the future. This role serves as a key liaison with internal teams such as financial product development, operations, marketing, digital product development, design, technology, legal, risk, and compliance. Experience in Cloud, Data, Domain Driven Design, and Architecture Frameworks is foundational to the role. The Product Line Architect exhibits leadership to drive a product line vision, translating business demands into product capabilities and developing a target architecture roadmap that supports consumer/client consumption. A successful candidate possesses business and financial acumen to advise on product line investment planning, conducts research and analysis to recommend the business value of new and emerging technologies, and constructs product line architectural specifications. The Product Line Architect will create architecture that drives towards simplification, enterprise-grade, build-to-consume solutions that drive enterprise rationalization. In this role, you will act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups. You will lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas of the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical, and inductive thinking. Additionally, you will translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organization's tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions. You will provide vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions while maintaining knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies, recommending innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization. Strategically engaging with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise, you will serve as an expert advisor to leadership and develop Data, Cloud, and AI/ML architecture blueprints, patterns, and roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Develop Data, Cloud, and AI/ML architecture blueprints, patterns, and roadmap.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience creating data strategy, including knowledge and technical experience in cloud operational and analytical platforms.
• 10+ years of architect experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

• Knowledge and experience with strategic data or financial systems architecture, the financial services industry.
• Architecture strategy and road mapping, translating strategic architecture to implementation.
