About the position

The Principal Cloud Architect - Integration role within Oracle's Specialist Solution Engineering team focuses on designing, demonstrating, and deploying Oracle Cloud architectures to address customer business challenges. This position involves engaging with strategic customers, gathering requirements, and translating business needs into effective cloud solutions. The architect will work closely with sales and engineering teams to drive cloud adoption and ensure successful deployments, while also creating technical assets and providing mentorship to others.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, Configure, Deploy and Operate a cloud solution.
  • Accelerate pipeline and cloud consumption for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services.
  • Understand customer business requirements and lead technical solution development using Oracle's cloud capabilities.
  • Deliver Proof of Concepts for new solutions on Oracle Cloud.
  • Develop collaborative working relationships with sales, product management, development, and other functional areas within Oracle.
  • Execute on engagement including coordinating scoping and delivery in a timeline for delivery engagements.
  • Build and nurture relationships with North America Customers / Partners to drive various enablement and implementation activities on OCI.

Requirements

  • 8 years experience with computer applications and tools required.
  • Ability to travel 50% international and domestic.
  • Expertise in OCI Data Integration (OCI DI), Golden Gate, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
  • Integration based solution delivery using integration technologies like OIC, Oracle SOA Suite, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Apigee.
  • Experience in creating datalake architectures and ELT operations.
  • Experience in high availability architecture in cloud and on-premise.
  • Experience integrating SaaS applications such as Fusion HCM, Workday, Salesforce, or on-premise applications such as EBS, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft.
  • Experience in integrating with Databases, Files, Event driven systems, JMS.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor of Science-level university degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field of studies highly desirable.
  • Experience in rehosting or migrating applications from on-premise to cloud is a plus.
  • Ability to apply design patterns and architectural principles.
