About the position

The Principal Cloud Data Architect will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining cloud platforms for data and analytics technologies across the organization. This position requires strategic thinking to align technology initiatives with business objectives, ensuring the evolution and adaptation of the data and analytics cloud technology footprint. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the performance, availability, and security of the data and analytics platform, adhering to industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Create a comprehensive plan outlining the strategic direction and milestones for cloud-based data and analytics initiatives.
• Design and implement the cloud architecture and technologies required for data and analytical capabilities.
• Define and implement data security measures, including access controls and encryption.
• Design architecture and integration patterns for efficient and secure data flows across platforms.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and enable cloud architecture accordingly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and integrating data, analytics, and cloud technology components.
• Strong knowledge of cloud data platform technologies, including data ingestion, storage, processing, sharing, consumption, and analytics.
• Proficiency in data warehouse design and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
• Proficient in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and distributed storage systems.
• Familiarity with data governance, security, privacy regulations, and CI/CD, DevOps, and MLOps processes.
• Strong leadership skills to manage large projects and influence senior management.
