About the position

As a Principal Cloud Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining cloud platforms for data and analytics technologies across the organization. This position requires strategic thinking to align technology solutions with business objectives, ensuring the evolution and adaptation of the data and analytics cloud technology footprint. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, performance, and security of the data and analytics platform, adhering to best practices and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Create a comprehensive cloud platform strategy and roadmap that aligns with business goals and technological advancements.
• Design and implement cloud architecture and components to deliver advanced data and analytical capabilities.
• Define and implement data security measures, including access controls, encryption, and data masking.
• Design architecture and integration patterns for efficient and secure data flows across platforms.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and enable cloud architecture accordingly.
• Partner with IT security and data governance teams to ensure cohesive and secure data management practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and integrating data, analytics, and cloud technology components.
• Strong knowledge of cloud data platform technologies, including data ingestion, storage, processing, sharing, consumption, and analytics.
• Proficiency in data warehouse design and analytics technology integrations, particularly with AWS and Azure.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and distributed storage systems.
• Familiarity with data governance, security, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and CI/CD, DevOps, and MLOps development processes.
• Strong leadership skills to build business cases, manage large projects, and influence senior management.
