About the position

The Principal Cloud Engineer/DevSecOps Engineer role at TechnoGen, Inc. involves providing technical, managerial, and administrative direction for complex cloud infrastructure systems. The position requires extensive experience in managing cloud environments, implementing cloud architectures, and troubleshooting performance issues. The role is hybrid, based in Washington, DC, and focuses on delivering efficient cloud solutions to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical, managerial, and administrative direction for problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and implementation for complex cloud systems.
  • Troubleshoot cloud performance issues and analyze network traffic.
  • Produce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) or Configuration as Code (CaC) with a code-first approach.
  • Collaborate with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex performance, security, and technical challenges.
  • Support all tiers of applications deployed in the cloud, configuring network, cloud-native services, infrastructure, and privileges for development teams.
  • Identify opportunities for optimizing cloud consumption and provide strategic direction for addressing those opportunities.
  • Create/update cloud environment configurations to establish/support application workloads.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in information technology with 8+ years of hands-on experience deploying/configuring workloads within AWS or Azure.
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud architectures.
  • Extensive experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) including CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Good understanding of DevOps best practices and experience with tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Artifactory.
  • Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters.
  • Strong experience troubleshooting enterprise computing and operating systems such as Linux and Windows.
  • Experience documenting requirements, user stories, and use cases.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and team environment.
  • Professional Architect Certification in AWS or Azure.
