About the position

The Synopsys Information Security team is dedicated to helping organizations transform and securely build the future of their business. We are currently seeking a Principal Cloud Security Engineer with a strong focus on engineering, artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and big data. This role requires extensive hands-on experience with various Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies, securing native cloud applications—particularly containerized applications—and integrating security practices into CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will be a cloud security expert, skilled in designing and creating custom software solutions that integrate data from diverse sources, including multiple cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, and GCP, as well as CSPM/CWPP tools, various scanning tools, and enterprise systems. In this position, you will engineer and implement advanced cloud security architectures and strategies, emphasizing automation and AI. You will be responsible for securing containerized applications and managing secure host and container images within cloud environments. Additionally, you will integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous integration and deployment. Your role will also involve designing and developing custom software solutions for data integration from various sources, as well as designing and implementing big data platforms that include data ingestion, storage, and processing. You will analyze big data to generate insightful reports for decision-making, leveraging AI to enhance analytics and process efficiency. Collaboration with teams across the organization will be essential to embed security into the development lifecycle and cloud infrastructure. Staying updated on emerging security threats, technologies, and trends in cloud computing, AI, and big data will be a critical part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will participate in and assist with incident response activities and forensic investigations as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in cloud security at a principal or senior principal level, with a focus on AI, automation, and big data.
• Profound knowledge and hands-on experience in IaC, securing cloud-native applications, and CI/CD integration.
• Experience in designing and managing big data platforms and solutions.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), security frameworks, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages relevant to cloud security and data processing.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to create data-driven reports and insights.
