About the position

The Principal Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the security architecture of cloud environments. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices and develop secure APIs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and protecting cloud assets.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud security architectures for various cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and maintain secure APIs and integration scripts to enhance cloud security.
• Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct security assessments and audits of cloud environments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Implement and manage security monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior security team members.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud security trends, threats, and technologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cloud Security Architect or similar role.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security features.
• Proficiency in API scripting and integration (e.g., Python, JavaScript, RESTful APIs).
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with cloud security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, CNAPP, CSPM).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• One or more of the following industry certifications is preferred: CCSP, CCSK, Google or Azure Certified Architects.
