About the position

As a Principal Cloud Solution Engineer at Oracle, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing secure and scalable cloud solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role serves as a critical link between client business needs and technical execution, ensuring that solutions are high-performing and aligned with client objectives.

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive, end-to-end solutions on OCI that align with client requirements, prioritizing scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their business objectives, technical needs, and constraints, providing expert guidance on OCI's capabilities and best practices.
• Lead the technical design and implementation of OCI solutions, mentoring technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assess existing on-premises or cloud-based infrastructure and applications, developing migration strategies and executing plans to transition them to OCI.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of OCI resources.
• Ensure OCI solutions meet industry-standard security and compliance requirements, implementing robust security controls and access management measures.
• Continuously identify opportunities to optimize OCI solutions for performance, cost, and resource utilization, leveraging native OCI services and features.
• Implement effective monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions on OCI to proactively identify and address performance issues and security threats.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a cloud architect or a similar role (5+ years).
• Strong understanding of cloud design principles, including security, scalability, and performance.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and capabilities is a plus.
